In his opening Elul Speech, Rabbi Baruch Mordechai (Rosh Yeshiva of Yeshivas Ateres Yisroel) told a wonderful story, based on the parable of Chief Rabbi Yitzchok Elchonon Spector ZT"L, that deep inside, every person has the potential of being a great person and every person has the potential to be the next Gadol Hador. Even if he was rebellious in his childhood.
